I've seen some posts online about this, before this week, and people just say 'you were cheating and got caught, stop crying', I've freaking paid for my games, what can I do about being IP banned like this? Now when Jio periodically reassigns IP address, people like me who literally have never played multiplayer on any Rockstar game cannot even access their services due to the new IP assigned to me being banned by Rockstar. Since JioFiber (what I have) reuses IP address, I believe what has happened is that many people tried cheating on GTA V and got their IP addresses (which Jio has been allocated) banned. Now this is where I realised what was happening. I checked the social club page on my phone and sure enough it loads. I grew suspicious when a friend of mine who uses Airtel broadband was able to play without a problem. I tried going to the rockstar games website, works fine, but if I try going to the launcher page or the social club page, they won't load.įor several days I thought it was just their servers being overloaded. However, a few days ago I tried starting up Rockstar Games Launcher, and it would not connect.
I've been using Rockstar Games Launcher well before GTA V became free, and have never had any issues. : I managed to solve this by keeping my Jio ONT turned off overnight, and in the morning, I was assigned a different IPv4 public address, and now I can access Rockstar Games Services again.
